In Brief
Tom Bradley is a high-profile New Zealander whose career
includes over 30 years as a TV network news presenter,
pirate-radio DJ, singer, writer, actor, voice-over artist and
media coach. He’s a proud father and grandfather, and lives with
his Canadian wife, Dayna, in Papamoa, Tauranga.
Books
Tom’s the author of 20 books for children and teenagers,
including two family comedy-drama series and teenage thrillers.
His short fiction has appeared in several anthologies, and his
publishers include HarperCollins (NZ and Australia), Pearson
Educational (NZ), and Dominie Press Inc (USA).
Animation
Tom’s an experienced children's animation writer including over
100 scripts for Huhu Studios’ international children’s 3D
animated TV series, Buzz & Poppy. He’s also
written for the Massey Ferguson series and worked
on other projects, developing/creating concepts and series
bibles.

Television
Tom’s network TV writing credits include two New Zealand television
sketch comedy shows (Pio and Facelift),
the reality series Can You Hackett, and the documentary
Happy Ever After. He’s also worked on numerous
documentary/reality show concepts.
Screen
Tom has outlined a number of screen projects for adults and children –
drama and comedy, one-off and series, contemporary and historical.
Musicals
Tom wrote the script and lyrics for two produced stage musicals, one of
which, Dr Luke (1980s) with music by Sir William
Southgate, received a positive review in American Variety
magazine.
Radio/Web/Other
Tom has won a national Mobil Radio Award for his radio writing.
He’s also penned dozens of magazine columns and articles, contributed a
weekly satirical column, Biggtown Buzz, for an
online site, and worked on an international literacy improvement
programme, rewriting public domain classics for easy reading.
